Day1｜ Strong Start for the 470 Class

The first day of racing at Enoshima commenced with a team leader meeting conducted in both English and Japanese. Under superb conditions with a northeasterly to easterly wind ranging from 10 to 15 knots, three races for the 470 class were successfully completed starting just after 11:00 AM. On land, registration and measurement for classes other than 470 were conducted in preparation for their races beginning tomorrow.

In the 470 class, the veteran team of Isozaki and Nakagawa secured the lead with two top finishes. The active university student team of Ikeda and Sueyoshi is currently in second place, with Oishi and Fukuda in third. Two boats from Thailand are participating, and Thamsoontorn and Waiwai team is performing well, currently in fifth place.

Starting tomorrow, Saturday, May 24th, the competition will expand to include ILCA7, ILCA6, 420, FX, 29er, OP, and Snipe classes, with races taking place across all courses.

470級は磯崎/中川組が暫定首位スタート

レース初日の江の島では、国際大会にふさわしく、チームリーダーミーティングが英語・日本語により実施されました。北東から東より10~15ノットの絶好のコンディションの中で、11時過ぎからレースが始まり、470級で3レースを行われました。陸上では、明日（5/24土）からのレースに備え、470級以外のクラスの登録受付・計測が行われました。

今日からレースが始まった470級では、ベテランの磯崎哲也／中川大河組が2回のトップフィニッシュを決め首位、2位には現役大学生の池田海人／末吉源組、3位には大石駿水／福田桃奈組が入りました。タイからは2艇が参加しており、2022年の杭州アジア大会にも出場したNavee Thamsoontorn／NichapaWaiwai組は5位に入って健闘しています。

明日からは、ILCA7級、ILCA6級、420級、49erFX級、29er級、OP級、スナイプ級も加わり、全8種目が江の島沖〜葉山沖にかけて5海面でレースを行います。
