25 May 2024 Day2

With the addition of 420, 29er, OP, and Snipe classes on the second day, Enoshima was crowded with competitors and boats in the morning. The wind was light and easterly when the boats left the harbor, but soon shifted to the south, reaching around 7 m/s. Under the perfect conditions, three races were held for 470, ILCA, 420, OP, and Snipe, and four races for 49er, FX, and 29er. In the evening, a reception was held with a Kagamibiraki (traditional sake barrel breaking) ceremony, Soshu Shindo taiko drumming, and a raffle by the sponsors.

In 470, Isozaki/Morita and Yoshida/Yoshida kept yesterday's rankings (1st and 2nd), with the university student duo of Ikeda/Ito in 3rd. In snipe, Sasai/Ishikawa and Yamada/Kojima were in first and second place, followed by the university student duo of Fujimori/Nagai in third, and in 420, high school students Sugasawa/Kobayashi, Urabe/Doust, and Onishi/Ozeki are in the first through third positions.

In ILCA7, Toyozumi and Yoon were in first and third place, respectively, with Kuroda in second place. In ILCA6, Okada from Enoshima Jr. was in first place, Kahara in third, and Fujino in second place.
