Enoshima Olympic Week 2023 will be held on a different date from autumn to early summer. This year, in addition to the five Olympic class dinghy events (470 mixed, 49er men, FX women, ILCA7 men and ILCA6 women), there will also be youth events 420 and 29er, a junior event OP class and the Snipe class, which is widely popular among university students and the public, for a total of nine events.

In the 470 class,45 boats from four countries, led by the team of Keiju Okadaand Miho Yoshioka, will gather to challenge young sailors againstthe world's top class. Ai Yoshidais competing with Yugo, her husband, and their racing performance in Enoshima will be a highlight as they prepare for the first national qualifier for the Paris Olympics (held in Den Hague, the Netherlands), which is coming up in August.

The competition will be divided into nine events on five different Areas, with the 470 Mixed, ILCA 7 and 6, 49er and FX events starting on 23rd for three days of racing,while the 420, 29er, OPand Snipe events will be raced over two days, starting on 24th. The 420, 29er, OP and Snipe will be raced over two days starting on the 24th. The Olympic classes will be joined by the next generation of junior and youth sailors as well as veterans of the Snipe class, making for a lively and exciting race. Navee Thamsoontorn (470) from Thailand said, “I'm looking forward to racing because there are a lot of 470s in Japan, and I've moved up from OP to 470, so I'm looking forward to some good racing.” In Japan, there are a lot of 470s here, and I'm hoping for good races.

Day 0 saw registration and boat inspections. The 470 class is a class that requires boat measurements, but only inspections are carried out during the event.

The Enoshima OW, whichopened quietly, is scheduled to start the first race at 10.50 am on 23 June. The event will be divided into three areas, 49er and FX (good view from the breakwater) on the A Area in front of the breakwater with the white lighthouse on Enoshima, 470 on the C Area offshore, and ILCA 7 and 6 on the B1 Area offshore ofShichirigahama.

The Opening Ceremony was held from 16hr today. The weather looks to be improving, and we expect the good breeze tomorrow.

江の島オリンピックウィーク 2023 は、秋から初夏に日程を変更して開催されます。今年はオリンピッククラスのディンギー5 種目（470 混合、49er 男子、FX 女子、ILCA7 男子、ILCA6 女子）に加えてユース種目の 420、29er、ジュニア種目の OP 級、大学生にも一般にも幅広く普及しているスナイプ級、合計 9 種目で実施されます。

470 級は、岡田奎樹・吉岡美帆組を筆頭に、４か国 45 艇が集まり、日本の若手選手が世界のトップクラスを相手にチャレンジします。吉田愛選手は吉田雄悟選手と夫妻チームでの出場です。8 月に迫ってきたパリ五輪最初の国枠予選（オランダ・ヘイグ開催）に向けて、江の島でのレースぶりが見どころです。

今大会にはタイ、マレーシア、韓国、香港からも参加があり、9 種目が 5 海面に分かれます。23 日からは 470 混合、ILCA7 と 6、49er、FX がレース開始、3 日間の日程ですが、420、29er、OP、スナイプは 24 日から 2 日間のレースとなります。オリンピッククラス、次世代のジュニア・ユース選手だけでなく、スナイプのベテラン勢が一緒に参加することで、賑やかなレースで盛り上がりそうです。タイのナヴィー・タムソントン選手（470）は、「日本には 470 が多数いるので、レースが楽しみです。OP から 470 へあがってきましたが、いいレースを期待しています。」と、470 なら日本でレースしたいという、強くなりたい思いを巡らせています。

Day0 では、受付と艇のインスペクションが行われました。インスペクションは計測とは異なり、大会で使う用具を勝手に交換しないよう、ステッカーを貼り、大会中にテクニカルコミッティーが確認することがあります。470 級は艇計測が必要なクラスですが、大会ではインスペクションのみです。

静かに幕を開けた江の島 OW は、23 日午前 10 時 50 分、第１レーススタート予定です。江の島の白灯台がある防波堤正面のＡ海面に 49er、FX（陸からよく見えます）、沖の C 海面に 470、七里ヶ浜沖のB1 海面に ILCA7 と 6、合計 3 海面に分かれます。

今日の 16 時から開会式が行われました。明日、天気は回復しそうですし、風が吹くことを期待します。
