Laser’s Nanri and 470’s Okada/Hokazono are top of leader board

Second race day of JSAF Enoshima Olympic Week 2018 was held as scheduled. 26 sailors in Laser class sailed two races today, Kenji Nanri finish 5th and 1st. He is now 3 points lead heading into the final day. “Tomorrow would be light wind. I think it will be a difficult day again so I focus on to each race tomorrow.” Nanri said.

470’s Keiju Okada and Junpei Hokazono continue to show good performance. They won gold in the Men’s 470 as Sailing World Cup Series Enoshima last week. World Champion, Ai Yoshida and Miho Yoshioka is also stable. They are 1st position for 470 Women’s and 7th overall.

Youth sailors are also racing well. Shota Hirose who is high school student, race on the same stage of Olympic athletes for Laser Radial stayed 1st place as Japanese and 6th overall. In the 420 class, following Yoshiki Tamayama and Syun Takasuga, junior high school pairs Chihiro Aoyama and Asuka Kuwano, Gen Hayashi and Kento Kubota are

2nd and 3rd. They aim for a podium.

Tomorrow will be the last day. No warning signal will be made after 13:30. Race committee push hard to race as much as possible.
